What is Air Duct Sealing & Insulation and how does it work?
Air duct sealing stops leaks in your ductwork, and insulation wraps the ducts so the air inside stays hot or cold until it reaches your rooms. Together they make your HVAC system run less and keep your house more comfortable.
Think of your ductwork like a pipe system for air. If the pipe has a hole, some of the air spills out before it gets to you. Sealing closes those holes with a special mastic paste or metal-backed tape. It is not the same as duct cleaning, which removes dust and debris. Sealing fixes the structure itself.
